Fadi El-Salibi, MD

A native of Lebanon, Dr. Fadi El-Salibi, is a renowned infectious disease specialist serving the Las Vegas and Henderson communities since 2009. He is highly regarded as one of the premiere physicians of his specialty and holds numerous leadership positions in area hospitals such as Henderson Hospital and Kindred Hospital.

Prior to Dr. El-Salibi relocating to Las Vegas, he attended Medical School at St. Joseph French Medical School, receiving his Medical Degree in 1998 before being accepted into his Internal Medicine Residency at Staten Island University Hospital. Recognized for his outstanding abilities and clinical excellence, he was encouraged by his mentors and professors to pursue a career in infectious disease studies.

In 2002, Dr. El-Salibi became Board Certified in Internal Medicine and entered into an Infectious Disease Fellowship at the prestigious Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York City, where he excelled in his studies and his passion grew for this emerging and highly regarded specialty. Upon completion of the fellowship in 2004, Dr. El-Salibi and his family relocated from New York to Nevada where he was an employed Infectious Disease specialist for five years before he opened his own practice, Infectious Diseases of Southern Nevada in 2009. Since then, he received his Board Certification in Infectious Diseases in 2012 and has developed a highly sought-after practice by referring physicians, hospitals and organizations throughout southern Nevada. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. El-Salibi became a critical liaison to much of the community for his expertise in infectious diseases and was responsible for the care and treatment of hundreds of patients. His reputation grew throughout Las Vegas and Henderson and he served as the Infectious Disease Advisor to our own Vegas Golden Knights from 2020-2023.

Recognizing the need for infectious disease support in the Reno area, Dr. El-Salibi and his partner, Dr. Mir Mohammed, opened a satellite location in northern Nevada with his associate Dr. Erik Jensen in 2023. Proudly serving both communities, Infectious Diseases of Southern Nevada has emerged as the premiere infectious disease practice in the state with additional growth and services on the horizon. Speaking several languages, Dr. El-Salibi remains committed to his patients and keeping the community healthy.

Erik Jensen, MD

Reno Location Only

A native of Reno, Dr. Erik Jensen joined Infectious Diseases of Southern Nevada in 2023 after completing his Infectious Disease Fellowship at the highly regarded University of San Francisco Program in Fresno, California. Dr. Jensen has always wanted to return to his roots in the northern Nevada community especially after completing his Medical School Degree and Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Nevada, Reno programs. As an outstanding student, he was able to attend the combined Medical School and Bachelor of Science programs which allowed him to complete both his college and Medical School requirements in only seven years.

In addition, during this time, Dr. Jensen was honored as both a National Merit Scholar as well as the recipient of the Danish Society Dania Scholarship in 2014. This award is bestowed on a member of the Danish Society who excels in academia and volunteerism in both undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
Dr. Jensen is no stranger to both teaching, tutoring and volunteer opportunities throughout his medical career which have included instructorships at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. His affinity for the Veterans of our country also led him to participate in the government’s Veteran’s History Project and serving as an Attending Physician for the Veterans Administration in Reno.

Dr. Jensen is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases and participates in several antimicrobial stewardship programs in Reno hospitals. When not practicing medicine, he enjoys spending time with family hiking and ocean kayaking and learning about Danish Culture.

Mir Mohammed, MD

A trusted colleague and founding member of Infectious Diseases of Southern Nevada,
Dr. Mohammad joined the practice immediately after completing his fellowship and has served the Las Vegas and Henderson communities for over a decade. A graduate of the Ross University School of Medicine in 2004, Dr. Mohammad went on to complete an Internal Medicine Residency in the Atlantic Health System in 2007. His excellence and outstanding performance in the program afforded him the opportunity to remain in the System and serve as the program’s Chief Resident from June, 2007-June, 2008.

His interest in infectious diseases and worldwide health issues led him to pursue his two-year Infectious Disease Fellowship at the prestigious UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ which he successfully completed in June, 2010.

Dr. Mohammad is Boarded in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases ad holds medical licenses in Nevada, California and Texas. He is a member in good standing in both UHS and the CommonSpirit Hospitals in the area and is recognized as one of the leading practitioners of his specialty in the community.

Andres Adrianza, MD

Dr. Andres Adrianza is an infectious disease specialist based solely in Reno, NV. He completed his fellowship in infectious diseases at Texas A&M College of Medicine-Scott and White Medical Center in 2024 after finishing his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Texas RGV in 2022. He graduated from the University of Zulia in 2013. His previous role was as a research assistant at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center. He has authored several publications, including works on microbiota, bacteremia, infliximab, thoracentesis, and thoracolithiasis, some of which have been cited in other scholarly articles. Dr. Adrianza joins Dr. Erik Jensen for infectious disease care, both inpatient and outpatient, in their Reno office.
