Fadi El-Salibi, MD
A native of Lebanon, Dr. Fadi El-Salibi, is a renowned infectious disease specialist serving the Las Vegas and Henderson communities since 2009. He is highly regarded as one of the premiere physicians of his specialty and holds numerous leadership positions in area hospitals such as Henderson Hospital and Kindred Hospital.
Prior to Dr. El-Salibi relocating to Las Vegas, he attended Medical School at St. Joseph French Medical School, receiving his Medical Degree in 1998 before being accepted into his Internal Medicine Residency at Staten Island University Hospital. Recognized for his outstanding abilities and clinical excellence, he was encouraged by his mentors and professors to pursue a career in infectious disease studies.
In 2002, Dr. El-Salibi became Board Certified in Internal Medicine and entered into an Infectious Disease Fellowship at the prestigious Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York City, where he excelled in his studies and his passion grew for this emerging and highly regarded specialty. Upon completion of the fellowship in 2004, Dr. El-Salibi and his family relocated from New York to Nevada where he was an employed Infectious Disease specialist for five years before he opened his own practice, Infectious Diseases of Southern Nevada in 2009. Since then, he received his Board Certification in Infectious Diseases in 2012 and has developed a highly sought-after practice by referring physicians, hospitals and organizations throughout southern Nevada. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. El-Salibi became a critical liaison to much of the community for his expertise in infectious diseases and was responsible for the care and treatment of hundreds of patients. His reputation grew throughout Las Vegas and Henderson and he served as the Infectious Disease Advisor to our own Vegas Golden Knights from 2020-2023.
Recognizing the need for infectious disease support in the Reno area, Dr. El-Salibi and his partner, Dr. Mir Mohammed, opened a satellite location in northern Nevada with his associate Dr. Erik Jensen in 2023. Proudly serving both communities, Infectious Diseases of Southern Nevada has emerged as the premiere infectious disease practice in the state with additional growth and services on the horizon. Speaking several languages, Dr. El-Salibi remains committed to his patients and keeping the community healthy.
